Once again, the Carle Place Boys' varsity track team has repeated as both Division and Nassau County "C" Champions for the 2001 spring season. Under the direction of Head Coach Bob Tonner and Assistant Coaches Paul Schafer and John Cantwell, the team compiled a perfect 7-0 record within the division and an impressive 11-2 record in the conference.
The team was composed of 57 varsity lettermen and were led by senior captains L.J. Lopez, R.J. Nappi, Matthew Scott, and Jonathan Soranno. The team qualified 17 athletes for the N.Y.S. Qualifiers held at Kings Point Academy. A total of 18 young men qualified as "All-County" to include:
