On Monday, June 4, St. Francis Hospital will hold its 27th Annual Golf Classic at three of Long Island's prestigious golf courses: The Creek Club in Locust Valley, Meadow Brook Club in Jericho and Fresh Meadow Country Club in Lake Success. The event, chaired by Old Westbury's James D'Addario, president, J. D'Addario & Co., supports St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center, the only designated Heart Center in New York State.
Founded by the D'Addario family in 1973, J. D'Addario & Co. has grown to be one of the largest musical instrument accessory companies in the world. A member of the Long Island Forum for Technology and the Leadership Initiative Action, the company has received numerous awards, including the New York State Environmental Excellence award and the Certificate of Congressional Recognition. This year, two J. D'Addario products were presented with Musikmesse International Press Awards.
Jim D'Addario is a member of the National Association of Music Merchants and the National Association of School Music Dealers. He was awarded the 2000 Small Business Association's Entrepreneur of the Year award. He lives in Old Westbury with his wife Janet; they have three children.

The St. Francis Golf Classic is expected to host 400 golfers. The day of golf will be followed by an evening reception and awards ceremony on the beach at The Creek Club.
