For those who followed Carle Place High School's boys varsity basketball team this year, it was obvious the senior, tri-captain Mike Kelly was an outstanding guard who possessed superb ball-handling skills and was a solid outside threat from the three point line. This became more obvious at Nassau County's Senior Exceptional Game when Mike shot 9 for 12 in the preliminary round from behind the three-point line. Mike qualified for the finals by posting the best score against the very best All-County players who participated in the contest. Mike also connected on 8 of 12 shots in the finals to win the "Three Point Championship." He was presented with an award at halftime of the game, which was held at SUNY Old Westbury. FULL STORY
