Last year Town of North Hempstead Councilwoman Doreen Banks was often asked by active senior residents within her town to continue Funday Monday at Bar Beach. In response, The Councilwoman suggested that seniors be allowed to swim at the town's indoor pool at Evergreen Avenue off of Denton Avenue in New Hyde Park.
