Lady Frogs Record Breaker
Eighth grader Lauren Groom, coached by Michele Cochrane and Don Laux, broke the single season scoring record for the Carle Place Women's Varsity Basketball team during the Frogs 2000-2001 campaign. Her 394 points in 20 games, eclipses the old mark of 317 points in 24 games set by Crista Leahy during the 1990-1991 season, in which the Lady Frogs won the first of two consecutive Long Island Class "C" Championships, then coached by Bob Kiernan.
