The board of directors of Nassau Health Care Corporation (NHCC) last week approved a three-year contract for Richard Turan as President/CEO of the health system, a spokesperson for NHCC has announced.

February Carle Place Board of Education Meeting:
At its regularly scheduled meeting on Feb. 12, the Carle Place Board of Education reported on the district's technology initiatives and library services for residents. They also accepted gifts from two Carle Place Exxon service stations and honored students who have been inducted into the National Honor Society.

Kudos to the Carle Place Coaching Staff
In his book Values of the Game, Bill Bradley notes that, "many people in all walks of life will tell you that their lives were turned around by a coach who took an interest in their well being." He goes on to say that "really great coaches engage their players in a quest to be the best" and that high school coaches have an opportunity, by how they approach the game, to teach lessons that "extend their reach to life off the court."

Carle Place Little League Sponsors Baseball and Softball Clinic
The Carle Place Little League will hold its Fifth Annual Baseball and Softball Clinic on Saturday, March 17 at the C.P.H.S. gyms. Varsity Coach Chris Ceruti will hold the softball clinic from 8:30-11:30 a.m., while Varsity Coach John Schneidmuller will hold the baseball clinic from noon-3 p.m. All registered Carle Place Little League players, ages 8 through 13, may participate in this free clinic.
