Carle Place residents are invited to a community-wide meeting to discuss their expectations for a new school superintendent on Monday, March 5, at 7 p.m. at the North High School cafeteria.

The meeting will be conducted by SCOPE (Suffolk County Organization for the Promotion of Education), which has been chosen by the Board of Education to conduct the search for a new superintendent. This year, Michael H. Mostow is serving as superintendent, an interim position that was filled after Mary Ellen Freeley left the district last June.

Guiding SCOPE's search will be the feedback they obtain from the March 5 meeting, according to Mostow. "The Board would like to get a sense of the community's needs for a new superintendent," he said. "It is very important that our residents attend."
