"Members of the Westbury High School Boys Soccer team are grateful for an awesome season. Their 9-3 record is a result of teamwork and some solid guidance from coach Tony Posillico and assistant coach Gerry Armengau," noted a spokesperson for the Westbury School.
Special recognition went out to seniors Edwin Benavides and Grimaldy Garcia, who respectively won All County and All County-Honorable Mention trophies. Edwin assisted the defensive team as a sweeper, and Grimaldy played midfield.
Coach Posillico has a special tie to the Westbury soccer tradition. He has been a coach for over 20 years and is an alumni and former player on the boys soccer team. "I'm proud of my boys," Posillico said about this year's team. "They each have their individual talents, and they know the value of working together."
