Students at Charles Water's Karate & Fitness, Hwang Karate Studio, located in Williston Park, have received belt promotions after successfully completing a series of extensive exams.

The students were evaluated on their physical skill as well as the character discipline required of the martial arts.

"Our goal at Charles Water's Karate & Fitness is to facilitate mental growth enabling our students to reach their highest potential as human begins," said Charles Water, owner and director of the school. "Our studio teaches students how to defend themselves responsibly while instilling self-confidence, self-discipline and respect for others."

Charles Water's Karate & Fitness is a full time, professional martial arts school, with classes for children, adults and teenagers. The school is the only one on Long Island that also offers Karatatot(r), the program specifically designed for pre-school children starting at 4 years of age.

The school provides complimentary workshops for those individuals or groups that are interested in either the mental or physical aspects of the martial arts. The school is celebrating its 14th year in Williston Park.
