Mary M. Maloney (nee Gallagher), of Westbury, died on Dec. 7, 2000, after a brief illness, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) J. Maloney in 1989. Loving mother of John (Patricia), Peggy (Kevin) DeStefan, Martin (Patricia). Cherished grandmother of Christopher Maloney, Kevin and Leeann DeStefan, Morgan Jean and Miles Maloney. Dear sister of William A. Gallagher and the late Christopher and Joseph Gallagher. Fond sister-in-law of Ann Maloney, Margaret Gallagher and Patricia Gallagher. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was a retired secretary for the Westbury Public Schools, after 23 years of service. Father of Jon, Donald and Debra Borchers. Grandfather of John Paul, Donald, Jacquie, Damian, Danny, Jacob, Dawn Marie and Kristina. Father-in-law of Jane, Deborah and Ken.
