One of the candidates running for the Town of Hempstead Council is Viki DeJong. Viki DeJong is a caring, compassionate person who has never become involved in or joined any cause for political publicity. Her only motivation is to reach out to and help people in all walks of life whenever and wherever possible, and to improve the environment by exposing and then working on stopping the causes of dangerous and questionable situations; economic, social and health in the Town of Hempstead. Her active involvement in the closing of the original Hempstead Town Incinerator and the safeguards incorporated into it is well known.
