Lorenzo Zaino, of Durazzano, Italy, formerly of Muttontown and Westbury, died on Aug. 14, 2000 at the age of 65. He was married to his wife, Gemma (Iannucci) Zaino for 42 years and was the son of the late Antonio and Assunta (DiNuzzo) Zaino. Lorenzo was born in Durazzano, Italy on July 24, 1935 and later moved to the US where he served in the Army and started his own landscape contracting company in Westbury.

Lorenzo is survived by his wife and his sons, Antonio Zaino of Brookfield, CT and Vincent Zaino of Durazzano, and his daughter, Tina Vigliotti of Cervino, Italy. Lorenzo is also survived by his brother, Louis Zaino of East Hills and his sisters, Costanza Iannucci and Michele Piscitelli, both of Westbury. Lorenzo was a beloved grandfather and uncle to eight grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul's Church in Brookville on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend.

Florence DiMeo (nee Castracane), of Westbury, died on Aug. 23, 2000. Wife of Aurelio. Mother of Marco. Sister of Annette Castracane and Maria Angelino. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Cecere Funeral Home, Westbury. Funeral Mass at St. Brigid's RC Church. Entombment Holy Rood Cemetery.
