Jennifer Collier, a 1997 graduate of W.T. Clarke High School in Westbury, was named to the dean's list for the Spring Term at Elmira College. Since entering Elmira, Collier has participated on the Varsity Cheering Team, the Soaring Eagles. With a season that runs from September to April, cheering requires a great deal of practice and dedication. In April, however, all that hard work paid off as the Soaring Eagles captured the first place championship trophy for All Girl Cheer Division II at the National Cheerleading Association Championship at Daytona Beach, FL. During her senior year at Elmira, Collier will be captain of the team.
In addition to cheerleading, Collier is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society of Education. In March, she was inducted into the Psi Chi Chapter, the National Honor Society in psychology.
Collier is the daughter of Levittown residents Lawrence and Patricia Collier. She is a junior and is majoring in speech and hearing.
