Long Island Lutheran Middle and High School recognized the achievements of its outstanding students at its Annual Honors Banquet held June 19 at the Swan Club in Glenwood Landing. Among those honored was sophomore Melanie Hall, a resident of Westbury, who received the Scholarship Award for Outstanding Citizenship in School as well as the Most Valuable Player Award for Spring Track.

Awarded to a student in each grade level, the Outstanding Citizenship Award recognizes Melanie for her humanity, service to her school, and Christian response to her fellow man.
LuHi Athletic MVP awards are presented to the most valuable player on each of the 1999-2000 varsity sports teams. Melanie was named MVP of the Lutheran High Lady Crusaders spring track team in recognition of her athletic talent, high standard of sportsmanship and her ability to serve as a positive role model for her teammates.
