The members of the Theodore Roosevelt Council, Boy Scouts of America were deeply saddened at the death of Karl V. Anton, Jr., publisher of Anton Community Newspapers. Karl was a member of the executive board of the council for many years. He was a great supporter of Scouting and values that Scouting imparts to young people.

For his many contributions to Scouting and to the community, Karl will be missed. On behalf of the 5,000 volunteer leaders and the 17,000 young people enrolled each year in Nassau County, we salute a life lived in the service to others.
