Sweltering temperatures couldn't keep the crowds away from the 6th Annual Street Fair, sponsored by the Westbury Chamber of Commerce. The fair, held June 10 and 11, turned Post Ave. into a flurry of fun, food, and activity.

As the mercury soared to 95 degrees, fair-goers purchased arts and crafts, antiques and collectibles, and other merchandise from local business owners. Civic groups, including the Westbury/Carle Place Kiwanis club, the Durazzano Ladies Auxiliary of Westbury, the Rotary Club of Westbury, and the Senior Citizens of Westbury, were also represented. There were international foods, a petting zoo, pony rides, a clown, music by the Paul Ebron Quartet and Good Time Charlie's Ragtime Band, and many other exciting booths and events.

A good time was had by all!
