Not-For-Profit Brings New Technology to New Cassel
Working off a $100,000 grant from the New York State Department of Economic Development, the New Cassel Technical Learning Center recently graduated its second class in a pilot study directed at enhancing the technological capability of the area's youth, while putting 45 new computers into the New Cassel community.
Answering to the concerns of Nassau County residents and watchdog groups, Jerald C. Newman, president and CEO of the Nassau Health Care Corporation, said that rather than interfere with the hospital's mission to provide healthcare to the poor and uninsured, Nassau County Medical Center's new public benefit corporation status would improve services.
