Carle Place High School senior Anthony Marasco was selected to the All-Long Island football team by Newsday Sports. The last Frogs to earn All-Long Island honors were Craig Carroll in the fall of 1995 and Kevin Koch in the fall of 1987. Tim Moran was voted to the All-New York State Second Team in the fall of 1993.

Marasco played both fullback and outside linebacker for the Frogs. During his junior year, he rushed for 1264 yards and 15 touchdowns and as a senior, he gained 1,496 yards and scored 17 touchdowns. These are impressive numbers which have only been matched by a few of the elite running backs in the history of Carle Place football. Marasco's presence on defense was equally impressive as he continued to stifle the opponents offensive efforts. Marasco was one of the premier players in Conference IV and helped guide the team to the county championship game against Roosevelt.
In addition to making All-Long Island, Marasco earned All-County honors and was one of 11 scholar-athletes chosen for the 1999 Golden II. Marasco is a member of Carle Place High School's National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, and National Spanish Honor Society. He has a weighted GPA of 93 and contributes to the success of the Key Club and other extracurricular activities. For his efforts, Marasco received the prestigious 14th annual Roy Kessenich Memorial Award at the annual Gridiron Banquet held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
In addition to football, Marasco is an outstanding wrestler and third baseman on the school's New York State semifinalist baseball team. His attributes in all three sports are his physical strength, intelligence, competitive spirit, and superb leadership skills. There is no doubt that Marasco will be a future Athletic Hall of Famer at Carle Place High School. Congratulations on an outstanding football career at Carle Place High School.
