Anne Hale Gray, 72, of Greensboro, NC, formerly of Garden City and Westbury, died on Oct. 27, 1999. She graduated from Mt. Holyoke College and was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Mt. Holyoke College Alumnae, DAR PEO Sisterhood and Mobile Meals. Daughter of Clyde Burton Hale and Josephine Cortelyou Lassoe. Wife of Harold L. Mother of Michael Hale Gray (Karen) and Brian Van Pelt Gray (Stephanie). Grandmother of Noah Donald Gray. Sister of Barbara Hale Tague (Joseph) of Westbury. Stepgrandmother of one. Also survived by three nieces, two great-nieces and one great-nephew. Services at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Greensboro. Robert B. Blitz, of Westbury, died on Oct. 28, 1999. He was a women's soccer coach at C.W. Post and a retired teacher from North Shore High School. Husband of Jeanette (nee Scott). Father of Jennifer and Bob Nicolich and Meridith and Ken Goldstein. Grandfather of Melanie, Aimee and Robert. Son of Mary Dale Blitz. Brother of Philip, Mary Coffey and Julia Bedard. Arrangements were made by the Cecere Funeral Home, Westbury.
