Shawn Bassarath, Jr. recently participated in the nationally sponsored 'Hoop It Up!' tournament at the Nassau Coliseum. The 12-year-old is a Powell's Lane graduate and current student at Long Island Lutheran in Brookville. Shawn played well and helped carry the team to two dominating wins.
