From Our Hearts, a newly chartered non-profit organization based in Westbury, will hold its inaugural event, a black tie gala, Oct. 28 at the Crest Hollow Country Club. The gala will raise money for five Long Island charities, the Long Island Special Olympics, Make-a-Wish Foundation of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, The Long Island Mentoring Partnership, The Long Island Children's Museum, and New Ground, an organization that provides low cost housing to eligible families.
