Fred S. Catapano, of Westbury, died on July 16, 1999. A WWII veteran, he was a retired NCPD detective. Mr. Catapano was voted one of Nassau County's top 50 Scholastic Athletes 1940 All Stars. Husband of the late Julia. Father of Lorraine (Dominic) Abbatiello. Grandfather of Dominic. Stepfather of John and Joann Kinsella and their children, Kelly and John. Brother of Julia Morselli and Edith Boccafola. Arrangements were made by the Donohue Funeral Home, Westbury. Funeral Mass at St. Brigid's RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
