The Carle Place Boys U-12 (86) boys travel soccer team has just completed a highly successful inaugural season. The boys playing in the Long Island Junior Soccer League and playing teams from Nassau, Suffolk and Queens completed the spring season undefeated. The boys had seven wins and 2 ties with an opening day tie versus Commack and a final game tie against co-champion Valley Stream.

The boys trailed Valley Stream 1-0 with a little less than 5 minutes to go, but through their determination and never say die spirit were able to tie the game and pressure Valley Steam for the last five minutes. Only a stubborn goalpost denied the boys a victory. The boys outscored their opposition 32-5 during league play.

In other team news the boys reached the Finals of the Waldbaums Youth Challenge. The boys beat teams from Manhasset, Port Washington, Stony Brook and Garden City before falling to another Port Washington 1-0 in the finals. The Waldbaums Youth Challenge is a season-long single elimination tournament structured like College Basketball's March Madness.
