  • SPORTS: Councilman O'Connor Helps Carle Place Little League

    North Hempstead Town Councilman James O'Connor has worked closely with North Hempstead Parks and Recreation Commissioner Gerard Olsen and the Carle Place Little League to prepare the Eighth Street Field for the 1999 Little League Baseball Season. Councilman O'Connor was able to bring in new cement dugouts, new drainage and appropriate soil mixtures for the field and other field maintenance. Councilman O'Connor will work hard to ensure that the field is properly maintained for the duration of the season so that the Carle Place Little Leaguers have a fun and successful season. FULL STORY

    Basketball teams (four to five players) are invited to sign up for the 13th Annual Sid Tanenbaum "Four-on-Four" Basketball Tournament.
