    Nassau County Comptroller Fred Parola addressed the Community Liaison Committee of Manhasset on Friday, Feb. 19, at North Hills Village Hall. After a few introductory remarks, Comptroller Parola told his audience that the Nassau County budget "predicted a zero deficit. There could be a real deficit of $150 million.   • SPORTS: Islander Alumni Team Wins Quebec International Pee-Wee Tournament

    The 1985 NY Islander Alumni Hockey Team won the AA Division Bernier Tournament in Quebec, Canada on Feb. 21. With only one loss to Brantford in the first game of the tournament, the team won successive games against Toronto, Wexford, Zurich and Laval to advance to the consolation finals. The final game against Rochester was 0 to 0 until the Islanders scored the winning goal in overtime. Westbury resident Louis Liotti is a member of the Islander team. FULL STORY
