I do not know if you are familiar with the Social Security notch issue, those born between the years of 1917-21 and later extended to 1917-26. The notch is very much alive. For those of you who were born between the years of 1917-26 are indiscriminately called notch babies. I, personally, have been fighting this issue for over 17 years, making many trips to Washington and writing hundreds of letters, if not thousands and newspaper articles (thanks to the computer), and will continue to do so until it is over and out. However, one person cannot do it alone and a network must be formed throughout the country to write to your senators and congress representatives for correction and justice to all notch babies or victims. When you do write, please remember to remind the legislature that you are writing to, that the notch victim was the one who enabled him/her to get into office. Thank you.
At the present time there three bills very much alive: are HR #45, HR #146 and HR #3008. Do not allow anyone to tell you by paying off notch victims that the Social Security Fund will go broke. It is going "broke" because this money is being used for other issues. It is like saying daytime will not follow nighttime. A past commission was hand-picked by the adversary of a correction legislation which is far separated from what this money was/is intended for. They openly went against all those who served those World War II veterans who did so much for this country, if not the world.
If it were not for these brave ladies and gentlemen, we would not be having the freedom we now have or the wonderful life we are used to.
As one enters the grounds of a veteran facility, they see a sign, "We are number one because of our veterans." I implore each and every reader to visit a veteran facility and see what remains of a young man and woman after giving their youth and vitality in dangerous service to protect you, the reader of this article and family. It is not a pretty picture as you will see!
