To the Residents of the 9th Legislative District

Thank you for re-electing me as your Nassau County Legislator. It has been an honor to serve in the historic first Nassau County Legislature, and I deeply appreciate having the privilege of continuing to represent you in county government.

The next two years will be a time of challenge and a time of opportunity in Nassau County. I believe that we have a unique opportunity to secure and enhance our suburban way of life in the last years of this century, and well into the next. I look forward to working with other public officials and community leaders to provide the high quality government services you deserve.

For me to be successful as a legislator, I must rely on my own abilities and values, but also the ideas, viewpoints, and aspirations of the residents. I urge you to contact me with your suggestions on improving our county, or if my office may be of assistance to you or your neighborhood. My legislative office is located in the County Executive Building, One West Street, Mineola 11501 571-6209. You may also reach me by e-mail at Rnicolello@nassau.org.

Once again, thank you for affording me the privilege of serving.

Expresses Gratitude

As you may already know, my bid for re-election to the town board was not successful. While this loss was a personal disappointment, I am thankful for having had the opportunity to serve as an elected official. My four years of service as a councilman have been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences of my life.

I have had the good fortune of meeting so many people as I traveled around the town. Some have become new friends. From each I have gained new insights and understandings of the meaning and importance of public service. I feel a measure of satisfaction knowing I have made a contribution to the betterment of our community. I am proud of my record of service and the many accomplishments I have achieved. Your confidence and trust gave me the motivation to work hard and do my very best for all the people of our town.

The success I have achieved would not have been possible without the support of so many people including my wife, family, friends, community leaders, colleagues in government and town employees. To each and every one of them and to all of you who have supported me, I want to express my heartfelt thanks.

An Open Letter to North Hempstead Residents

I would like to thank the residents of North Hempstead for placing their trust in me and electing me to the position of Town Clerk. Over the next two years, I look forward to serving in this important governmental post. Be assured that I will use all of my expertise as an administrator to streamline and improve my new office.

The past few months have been extraordinary ones for me. During the campaign, I traveled throughout North Hempstead, meeting thousands of residents at train stations, civic events, and while walking door-to-door. You told me you wanted a more efficient government, but one which also provides crucial services in a timely manner. That mandate will be met.

Starting next January, you can reach me at 869-7646. I look forward to serving as North Hempstead's Town Clerk and will always be grateful for being given this opportunity.

Thank You

I wish to take this opportunity to thank the residents of Nassau County for their overwhelming support this past election day. I am grateful for the confidence they have placed in me, re-electing me to a second term as Nassau comptroller.

As Nassau's Taxpayer Watchdog, my primary goal has been to ensure that taxpayers get their money's worth from government. I have challenged the system to be more innovative, efficient and accountable. Further, I have opened up the budget process, and I encourage the input of all our residents in making Nassau government do more with less.

Democracy works best when we all participate in the process. I thank all of our residents who voted.

I will continue to work to serve Nassau's taxpayers and to justify the confidence that our residents have placed in me.
