I would like to thank all of my supporters and volunteers for their dedication to my campaign for Nassau County Legislature and all those residents who wanted better for Valley Stream, North Valley Stream, Franklin Square, Elmont, West Hempstead, Bellerose Terrace and South Floral Park. Their level of enthusiasm in working to bring change to our community was something I have never seen, and I am deeply humbled by your hard work and commitment.
I would also like to congratulate John Ciotti on his victory and for running a well-oiled campaign.
I hope my campaign was able to highlight some of the important issues we face, whether it be a need to do something about our crumbling streets and curbs, the necessity to end the brain drain here on Long Island, or consolidating the plethora of special district strangling taxpayers on a daily basis.
I look forward to continuing to work with John Ciotti to improve our community and do all I can with Action Long Island to bring in more next generation housing for young professionals.
Continuing to ignore the fact that we are spending millions of dollars to educate students, only to have them leave for less expensive areas after college will have devastating effects for Long Island down the road. Moreover, our state cannot sustain the current system of thousands of special taxing units duplicating services and driving up our property taxes.
I will not give up on my efforts to address the issues of high property taxes, the brain drain and consolidation.
Thanks again to all of my supporters and voters.
