Police have arrested an 18-year-old Queens Village man in connection with a stabbing made at the track field at Elmont Memorial High School on Sept. 9.
According to police, at 6:40 p.m. on that date, a fight involving approximately 20 males, ages 17 to 20, took place with a 17-year-old male who is a student of the school sustaining a stab wound.
Police arrested Kervin Cethoute and charged him with second degree gang assault.
Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in Elmont on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 3:30 p.m.
According to police, a male subject posing as a repairman approached an 85-year-old man who was sitting on the front porch of his home on Norfolk Drive.
Police said the subject made conversation with the victim and then walked into the rear yard. According to police, later on, the victim discovered that an upstairs room was ransacked and assorted jewelry was missing.
Police described the subject as possibly Middle Eastern or Hispanic, approximately 35-years-old, thin build, dark hair and wearing a light-collared shirt and light pants.
