The popular comic strip heroine takes center stage in our production of one of the world’s best-loved musicals. With such musical numbers as Hard Knock Life, Little Girls, Easy Street and Tomorrow, this show is a sure-fire crowd pleaser, and an ideal show to introduce children to the magic of live theater. Performances: Dec. 19 at 4 and 8 p.m.; Dec. 20 at 2:30 p.m.; Dec. 26 at 4 p.m.; Dec. 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the BroadHollow Theatre, 700 Hempstead Tpke., Elmont. Presented by the New York Dance Theatre, under the direction of Frank Ohman. This production has added music, scenes and dances and is the only one in the tradition of New York City Ballet’s George Ballanchine. Joining the troupe will be guest artist Arch Higgins, Nicole Loizides and Eric Ragan. In all a cast of 80 children, semi-professional and professional dancers bring this family holiday classic to life on the stage at the John Cranford Adams Playhouse, Hofstra University, on Dec. 19, 20 at noon and 5 p.m. Tickets are $35; $28 seniors and children 12 and under.
