Annie
The popular comic strip heroine takes center stage in our production of one of the world’s best-loved musicals. With such musical numbers as Hard Knock Life, Little Girls, Easy Street and Tomorrow, this show is a sure-fire crowd pleaser, and an ideal show to introduce children to the magic of live theater. Performances: Dec. 19 at 4 and 8 p.m.; Dec. 20 at 2:30 p.m.; Dec. 26 at 4 p.m.; Dec. 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the BroadHollow Theatre, 700 Hempstead Tpke., Elmont. The Nutcracker
Presented by the New York Dance Theatre, under the direction of Frank Ohman. This production has added music, scenes and dances and is the only one in the tradition of New York City Ballet’s George Ballanchine. Joining the troupe will be guest artist Arch Higgins, Nicole Loizides and Eric Ragan. In all a cast of 80 children, semi-professional and professional dancers bring this family holiday classic to life on the stage at the John Cranford Adams Playhouse, Hofstra University, on Dec. 19, 20 at noon and 5 p.m. Tickets are $35; $28 seniors and children 12 and under. Sewanhaka Central H.S. District Board of Ed
Regular meeting at Sewanhaka High School, 500 Tulip Ave., Floral Park, at 7:30 p.m. It is anticipated that a motion to adjourn to Executive Session will be made immediately after the opening of the public portion of the meeting to discuss matters involving particular personnel and matters within the attorney-client relationship. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Follow Rudolph from a baby reindeer through the “reindeer games,” and finally, as he saves Christmas with his “nose so bright.” After the show, at BayWay only, enjoy milk and cookies with Santa Claus.
