An 18-year-old male was shot in front of the Travezure Bar, located on Hempstead Avenue in West Hempstead early Sunday morning, March 23, police said.
At approximately 2:35 a.m., two male subjects wearing masks and brandishing handguns approached the teen in front of the bar and fired several shots at him, police said.
According to police, the teen was shot more than once in the torso outside the bar as well as in the bar's vestibule.
The teen was transported by a private vehicle to other patrons at the bar to an area hospital where he was admitted in critical condition, police said. He received emergency surgery and, according to police, was listed in serious but stable condition.

Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly entered the Washington Mutual Bank, located on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square, and allegedly fled with an unknown amount of cash, police said.
According to police, on Monday, March 24, the suspect walked into the bank and handed the 20-year-old female teller a note demanding money.
After receiving the cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his late 20s to early 30s, 5'6'' to 5'8'', unshaven, wearing a brown baseball cap, dark jacket, gloves and clear eyeglasses.

Police are looking for a subject who allegedly attempted to rob a convenience store in Elmont.
According to police, at 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, a suspect entered the Turnpike Convenience and Grocery Store, located on Hempstead Turnpike, and approached the 57-year-old male employee and attempted to pay for a butane lighter.
When the employee opened the cash register, the suspect stepped around the counter and stated he had a gun, police said. The employee pushed the panic alarm and ran out of the store, police said. When he returned to the store, it was determined the suspect had only damaged the cash register and no proceeds were taken, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male, in his early 30s , approximately 5'10'' and wearing a black cap.
