Joseph A. Vitale, of Farmingdale, formerly of Elmont, passed away on January 17, 2008 in his 85th year. WWII Veteran and postal letter carrier. Husband of 60 years of Anna (Tarantola). Father of Louis Vitale and wife Darlene, AnnMarie Espro and husband Salvatore, and Paul Vitale and wife Susan. Grandfather of Louis, Christopher, Fred, Lisa and Alexander. Brother of Vito Vitale, Anna Catalano, and the late Frances Cacioppo, Christopher Vitale, Andrew Vitale and Anna Vitale. Arrangements were made by McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury.
