Police are searching for four suspects who entered the Franklin Square VFW hall, located on Lincoln Road, and robbed guests who were attending a fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 10:30 p.m.
According to police, four subjects wearing masks and armed with handguns entered the rear door of the VFW hall, which was hosting a poker tournament.

The suspects demanded money collected as well as the guests' wallets and cellular phones. There were no injuries reported.
According to a posting on the Internet, the event was sponsored by All American Poker and required $130 to participate, which included $100 that went into the main pot and $30 as a donation to the VFW post.
According to police, the hall was occupied by about 80 guests.
The four suspects are described as black males, 25-30 years old, 5'7'' to 5'10'' and wearing dark clothing.

According to police, Astoria Federal Savings Bank, located on Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square, was robbed on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 11:15 a.m.
Police said, a black, female subject, about 5'6'', thin build and wearing a green-checkered jacket, sunglasses and a light-colored hat entered the bank and presented a demand note to the teller.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled out the rear door and was seen getting into the passenger seat of a dark mid-size, four-door car that was parked at the curb by the rear door of the bank, police said.
There were seven employees and three customers present and no injuries reported.

Police report another bank robbery that occurred in Franklin Square on Nov. 15 at 12:45 p.m.
According to detectives, a white male, 6' tall, medium build, wearing a green sweat shirt, dark hat and blue jeans entered the Astoria Federal Savings Bank on Franklin Avenue and presented a note to the teller, demanding cash.
After obtaining an unknown amount of cash, the subject fled on foot on the rear door and headed eastbound on Midway Court, police said.
There were seven employees and two customers present and no injuries reported.
Detectives believe the same subject was involved in a similar robbery of Washington Mutual Bank, located on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square, on Oct. 27. The suspect in that robbery was described as a white male, 5'8''-5'9'' tall, stocky build and weighing 180-190 pounds.
