  • News: WH Civic Board Views Plans for Development of Courtesy Site

    On Aug. 31, the executive board of the West Hempstead Civic Association (WHCA) met with representatives of Trammell Crow Residential Developers, which is currently in contract with the owners of the Courtesy Hotel. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss plans to redevelop the Courtesy Hotel Property. WHCA President Rosalie Norton said that the plan would require a zoning change from commercial/light industrial to residential and a request to increase density. FULL STORY

  • News: Town to Hold Sunrise Sept. 11 Ceremony

    On the fifth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the Town of Hempstead will hold a Sunrise Program to remember those who lost their lives. The ceremony will take place on Monday, Sept. 11 at 7:30 a.m. at Town Park Point Lookout. FULL STORY Logo
