  • News: Town Honors WH's Rosalie Norton

    Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray and the town board recognized 13 extraordinary community members for contributions to their local neighborhoods at the Ninth Annual "Make A Difference" Award ceremony. In addition, the town board posthumously honored a former NYC fireman and police officer who was always available to assist his neighbors and friends.   • News: NYCPD Officer From Elmont Killed in the Line of Duty

    A New York City police officer who lived in Elmont was fatally shot in Brooklyn early Monday morning while chasing a suspect. Dillon Stewart, 35, will be remembered as a hero and family man who left behind a wife and two daughters. FULL STORY
