Assemblyman Tom Alfano announced that he is sponsoring his third annual free dental clinic for children will be held last week of July from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dutch Broadway School in Elmont. The dental clinic is a cooperative effort with NYU Dental School, Gateway Youth Outreach and the Elmont Union Free School District. The services provided by the clinic are free-of-charge.
The clinic is being given on a first-come, first-serve basis. The date for the NYU Dental Van are July 25 through July 28 at 9 a.m. at Dutch Broadway School. Arrive early because when the van arrives, office hours begin. Please note, no appointment is necessary.
"The NYU Dental team does a terrific job of providing a great service for children throughout our community. Each year, hundreds receive quality dental care free-of-charge," said Assemblyman Alfano adding, "The NYU Dental Van has all the equipment and the team they provide are experts in pediatric dentistry."
The NYU-Alfano Dental Clinic provides teeth cleanings, fillings, extractions, fluoride treatments, x-rays and sealants and oral hygiene instructions.
