Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray was assisted by Santa Claus, Kenneth Albarran, the son of a U.S. soldier, and members of the town board in lighting the Christmas tree, Menorah and Kwanzaa Kinara at a holiday celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at Town Hall Plaza.
