Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray and Councilman Edward Ambrosino announced that New York Senator Michael Balboni has been working to secure state grant money to fund a town road improvement project in Elmont. At a public hearing held by the MTA on Tuesday, Nov. 9 in Melville, commuters opposed fare hikes and service cuts being proposed by the MTA in order to close a budget gap.
