The Jewish Community Center of West Hempstead, located at 711 Dogwood Avenue, will commemorate this year's observance of Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) on Sunday, April 18 with a special program, "Memories of the Shoah - Through the Eyes of Those we Know." FULL STORY

On April 16 and 17, over 300 students, teachers and administrators from the Sewanhaka Central High School District will participate in the 11th Annual Lee Marcus Invitational Sewanhaka Intra-District Model United Nations Conference (SIDMUN XI). The conference will be conducted at Elmont Memorial High School, the birthplace of SIDMUN and the district's prestigious Model United Nations program.
