What better way to share the joy of the holidays than by taking a loving cat or dog into your home? From young children to senior citizens, people delight in having a pet as a member of the family.

In Hempstead Town we are helping to make the pet adoption experience more affordable and special. That's why we have waived the adoption fee and the rabies shot fee now through January 5, 2004 - a $40 savings! Additionally, when you come to our animal shelter and adopt a pet, you will receive special gifts such as collars, leashes and toys, through the generosity of Animal Appetites in Wantagh and Parrots of the World in Rockville Centre.

Our partnership with Petfinder.com has resulted in uniting caring owners with loving pets. To view some of the animals at our shelter that are available for adoption use the Petfinder link on Hempstead Town's website, www.TOH.LI.
