Together with the effort of parents and WHEA members, the PTA supported the American Lung Association of Nassau/Suffolk by raising funds for the "Blow the Whistle on Asthma" Walk in October. We did so to honor the memory of Cornwell Avenue student Lorrencia Rozier. Our thoughts and sympathy remain with her family.

The parents who are involved in our PTA bring limitless enthusiasm and a generous spirit to all they do. We understand the value of involvement: school spirit and pride, higher test scores, fewer discipline problems, safer schools and a strong collaborative relationship with teachers and administrators. The PTA wants you to know we have grand visions and goals to create a strong school community. We expect success and excellence.

In the wise words of Helen Keller, "Alone we can do little, together we can do so much." So, for all our children, please support your PTA. Together we can make a difference.

Paula Uhl

Co-President, PTA
