I would like to take this opportunity to thank the voters of the Town of Hempstead for the confidence they have placed in me. I am extremely proud to be the first woman elected to the position of Hempstead Town supervisor and I look forward to continuing my work to ensure that our communities remain great areas in which to live, work and raise families.

Along with Town Clerk Mark Bonilla, Receiver of Taxes Don Clavin, Councilwoman Angie Cullin and Councilmen Jim Darcy and Ed Ambrosino, I will continue to work aggressively in justifying the trust of neighbors across the town. My agenda will continue to focus around the town's excellent fiscal management, fine services and programs as well as maintaining the most beautiful parks and beaches anywhere.

I would like to congratulate my opponent on a fine campaign and I look forward to continuing to work closely with her on the town board.

I have enjoyed interacting with many residents since becoming supervisor in January and I look forward to working with many more in the future. Again, thank you for your support.

Kate Murray

Supervisor
