Members of the Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department responded to a chemical fire at Rath Park in Franklin Square on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 4 during the Town of Hempstead's Stop Throwing Out Pollutants (STOP) program. Appearing lately in the Nassau County Police 5th Precinct Police Report are incidents in which headlight assemblies are being stolen from Nissan Maximas. The latest instances occurred on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 4:35 a.m. on Emily Avenue in Elmont and Shipley Avenue in Valley Stream. FULL STORY
