This Saturday, Sept. 13, the Elmont Community Awareness Program (ECAP) will be sponsoring Elmont Family Day. There is scheduled to be entertainment, activities for kids, street vendors and refreshments. Festivities will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. at the Dutch Broadway Sports Complex on Dutch Broadway and Ridge Road.

Opening ceremonies will take place at 3 p.m. Among the dignitaries invited are ECAP Director Cheryl Lee, Community Coalition Council President Chet Collins, Nassau County Legislator John Ciotti, Assemblyman Tom Alfano, Town Councilman Ed Ambrosino and Superintendent of Schools for the Elmont School District Dr. Maria Palandra.
