Dr. Williard J. Pierson, of West Hempstead, died on June 7, 2003. A WWII Army Aviation Cadet, he was a research professor at City College of NY specializing in oceanography and meteorology. He received many accolades. Husband of the late Joy Kell Pierson. Father of Mark, Mary Jean and Arthur. Brother of Vaughn. Grandfather of Alexander, Ian and Sean.
