Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray will be the keynote speaker at the West Hempstead Civic Association meeting at the West Hempstead Middle School Cafeteria on Thursday, June 19 at 7:30 p.m.

One of the topics of discussion could be the Courtesy Hotel. The town has served the owners of the Courtesy Hotel with a summons and complaint, seeing legal recourse before the State Supreme Court to close down the premises. The lawsuit seeks closure to the hotel under the Town of Hempstead's Nuisance Law.
