Switch replacement work in the Valley Stream area will affect MTA Long Island Railroad West Hempstead branch customers during the weekend of Oct. 12 and 13. From 11:10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11 through Monday, Oct. 14 at 12:30 a.m., West Hemsptead Hempstead Branch customers will use buses to complete their trips. Service impacts are as follows: Customers will board buses at Valley Stream to complete their trips from Westwood through West Hempstead.

Customers will board buses at their stations, West Hempstead through Westwood, and transfer to trains at Jamaica to complete their trips.
