Police are searching for two suspects in connection to the stabbing of a 16-year-old South Floral Park man in Elmont.

According to police, the victim was stabbed on Friday, Aug. 2 at 8:10 p.m. in front of King Chef Kitchen restaurant, located at 492 Hempstead Turnpike, after an altercation.

"The victim and his brother were in the Chinese restaurant. Two men entered. They became involved in an argument. The argument moved outside and the victim was stabbed at least twice, once in the back and once in the arm by one or both of the subjects," said Detective Sergeant James Tilton.

The subjects fled on foot in an unknown direction. They are described as two black males, medium height and medium build, between the ages of 17 and 20. The weapon was not recovered. It is not known whether the victim and subjects knew each other.

The victim was transported to Winthrop-University Hospital in critical condition. As of Monday, he was in stable condition and is expected to survive the wounds.
