With the school budget votes approaching, area districts have adopted 2002-2003 school year operating budgets that will go before voters. Runners who will be competing in either the Canon Long Island Marathon or Canon Long Island Half Marathon this year are urged to attend a special pre-race clinic to be held at the Bethpage Public Library, on Powell Avenue in Bethpage, on Tuesday evening, April 30, starting promptly at 7:45 p.m. The clinic is being co-hosted by the Nassau County Department of Recreation, Parks and Support Services and the Greater Long Island Running Club.
