The Franklin Square Historical Society held its annual dinner this past week where well over 300 residents attended to pay tribute to the heroic efforts of the Franklin Square Munson Fire Department.

Pictured (l-r) is Franklin Square Historical Society President Dr. Paul van Wie, Franklin Square Munson Fire Department 2nd Assistant Chief Teddy Braun, 1st Assistant Chief Kevin Brodley, Chief Louis Sabatino and Assemblyman Tom Alfano.

New York State Assemblyman Tom Alfano presented the society with an American flag for its new museum and presented the district with a resolution passed by the Assembly, recognizing their work in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 tragedy.
